NHX model yang disebutkan di atas telah dimodifikasi untuk memungkinkan adanya saklar Code Blue (NHR-7A-CB) dimana fungsinya untuk mengaktifkan panggilan prioritas tertinggi pada perangkat NHX Nurse Call System. Pada saat saklar biru ditekan kebawah, maka indikator di ruang perawat akan menunjukkan panggilan dengan nada intermiten cepat disertai kedipan lampu LED. Panggilan tersebut dapat dibatalkan dengan cara menaikkan saklar biru ke atas. Semua tingkat panggilan yang lain tetap sama.
